2.11 As-built Drawings
Practice Statement:
As-built drawings are prepared and the information is recorded to aid future excavations and locates.
Practice Description:
Installation is made in accordance with the approved construction plans. Any deviation to the plans is documented and such changes are indicated on the as-built drawings. As-built information is recorded, retained, and made available for subsequent excavation.
Benefits:
As-built drawings serve as an information source for future projects to minimize damage to existing facilities.
